I screwed up. I snuck into his room and saw the two newlyweds to be cuddling, and I couldn't help but start shaking. I don't know if it was anger or sadness or frustration, or all of it, but I was shaking really hard.
And then my hands started sweating. So I was shaking and sweating and holding a really sharp knife. Soooooo I dropped it. And COMICALLY conveniently, it went right through their open window and into the sea. Where the water turned all red, like blood, and started fizzing.
REAL STUPIDLY I decided that jumping into the water after it would be a good idea. I thought I would be able to save it!
I started seeing all these weird little floaty beings and they were all talking at once. They had really beautiful voices, but I was kind of confused. I felt all floaty and warm - so I decided to ask them where I was. AND MY VOICE CAME OUT. That was my first clue.
So, basically, they told me that nah I hadn't gotten an immortal soul (DUH), but I still had a chance. They were the "daughters of the air" and they basically floated around the world doing good deeds. And after three hundred years of being Good Samaritans, they could then obtain an immortal soul and enjoy all the pleasures that humans do.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I was stuck in this limbo and the chances of getting out were dire.
